Thanks!

Welcome to
Heatherwood Farm!
Heatherwood Farm has been in
operation for nearly 30 years. Through those years I've
learned an immense amount about dairy goats - and have set my goals
high for my breeding program. I've carefully picked my
foundation stock and have built the herd around those incredible
genetics.
This past year has brought many
changes, including moving to a new farmstead. We're now
located in Northeastern Arkansas. The farm sits on 12 acres of
rolling, lush land. It hasn't been farmed in many years, so
there's still the job of putting up proper fencing and getting more
LGD's. But, all in due time. The herd enjoys
alfalfa hay that we usually get from out of state as well as all
milking does/babies being offered an 18% grain ration.
Minerals are always available, and the herd is routinely bolused
with Bo-Se and Copper. To date, I've not encountered problems
with CAE, CL or Johnes, and the health of my herd remains paramount.
New this year:
We've started up a small Saanen herd! Once again, our
foundation herd consists of outstanding animals. We feel that
our Saanen herd will be spectacular.
It's my goal to attend as many shows
as I can this coming year. Being new to the area has been a
bit of a challenge, but I'm slowly meeting all my 'goat neighbors'
and am really looking forward to the upcoming shows!
