Nellie is the most outgoing of last year's retained kids - always the extrovert.  Ever since she's been born she's been on the small side, and really isn't a big eater.  It fits her though, and she just looks very feminine and dairy.  Her dam, Cotton, is a very nice doe, and one that, according to a couple judges, "should have no trouble finishing" (provided I get to some shows <g>).  So far, Nellie seems to be everything her dam is, and more.  She excels Cotton in sharpness of withers and over angularity.  Because of her smaller size, Nellie will be held over for breeding and will remain dry for 2010.

Butter is the single doeling out of Anja, one of our first-fresheners.  Anja freshened beautifully, and is milking up a storm, even for a little 50 lb. girl.  Combine that with White Bread, and you get Butter!  She's very correct and dairy - and energetic!  So far she has nice BIG teats and a high, wide escutcheon.  We've got big plans for our little Butter Bean!

This picture was taken of Vera when she was less than an hour old - she's just a natural-born 'poser'.  Vera is an interesting combination of some of our best lines, and we're really looking forward to seeing how this beautifully dairy doeling is going to turn out.

Snappy is one of triplets born to Soda, who as a second freshener, has turned out beautifully.  Snappy's brother, Popparazzi, is being retained as a herdsire - we're that impressed with this cross.  Snappy is on the small side, so we'll be giving her lots of TLC and waiting for her to bloom!
