Jolly is quite the
character! She's a big, bold doe who's general appearance is
the first thing you notice. Jolly is also incredibly
playful, and just a goof, even at nearly 7 yrs. old. Jolly
is a very correct doe with excellent breed character and overall
conformation. She's everything you'd expect from this
breeding, and is every bit as nice as her full sister, CH
Autumn-Acres Jamica, who is simply awesome. We admire the
'Hesston' animals for their stature, overall size and bone, and
correctness. Jolly is just another great addition to our
herd, and we can't wait for her to hit the show ring! I
don't think she's ever been shown before, so watch out for this
girl - she demands your attention! Oh yea, and she's got ONE
wattle!!!<g>
We're having trouble getting Jolly bred, but
we've got our fingers crossed that she'll settle to Tucker.

Ahh,
Heaven - perfectly named. This is MY girl; she's always by my side, and
simply a joy to be around. Added to that is the fact that she's just
stunning! She's not flashy in color, but boy - this girl has some general
appearance! Heaven has a long bone pattern, is incredibly tall, and is
very balanced overall. Her mammary system is just stitched
on, and she has a lovely, well-extended, smooth foreudder.
Her rear udder is quite high and wide, has great lateral
attachment and a nice strong medial. Although I'm biased, I
think her mammary system is flawless. I absolutely love my Heaven! We've long admired the
Little Orchard
animals, and Heaven is the perfect example of why! Heaven
has gone to a few shows this year, and has placed 1st every time,
and going RGCH x 1. She's finally growing into her large
frame and her general appearance is out of this world. He
biggest problem is that she starts to absorb her milk if she's
bagged for more than 14 hrs. This has hurt her in the show
ring - the judges said that she'd have gone grand if only she
would hold her milk! Quite a compliment given our
competition.

Well, Vixen. Although
I love her dearly, she's completely neurotic, but in a good, funny
way! She just becomes overly bonded to some humans, and
overreacts occasionally. But, she's a real beauty. She
epitomizes general appearance as well as dairy character; she's
long and deep, and stands on nicely angulated, strong legs with
good feet. Her downfall - she had a precocious udder as a
dry yearling, and freshened with mastitis. She's nearly
crazy when it comes to infusing her udder with meds. We have
been able to evaluate her mammary system, though, and it's very
nice. She has a high, wide rear udder with excellent
attachment, strong medial and division of the halves, perfectly
placed plumb teats, and she excels in both foreudder extension and
smoothness of blending (and I'm a foreudder lunatic!).
Despite her mastitis and resulting scar tissue, her overall udder
texture is soft and smooth.

"Temper", as I call her, is
a
long-boned, very streamlined, feminine doe, that is chamoisee in
color. She's just as sweet as can be, and could actually
benefit from assertiveness training <g>. Nonetheless, she
stands on a strong set of feet and legs, and is medium in size.
She's freshened for a second time for us now, and her udder is
very capacious with great attachment and soft texture.
Although her teats are properly placed and perfectly delineated,
they curl a little bit (which I don't care for). But, that's
about all I don't like about her. She's slower to mature but
proving to be well worth the wait! Temper will be taking the
year off - a well deserved break.

Prada is a very flashy, striking doe.
She's a chocolate and white pinto color, and is built quite a bit
like her dam - long and elegant. She's gained a bit more
depth of body over her dam, but is also not quite as large-boned.
Still though, she's a looker!

Heatherwood Cry Me A River
Dam: One*Oak*Hill Hesston Angel
Sire: Autumn-Acres Hanky Panky Up
D.O.B. / /2010
River has freshened quite nicely - and
it's clear what Hanky Panky is doing - he's putting those high,
wide rear udders on his daughters - or at least this one.
The picture above is taken at just a few days fresh, but it's
better than nothing. I'll be working on a body shot too!
On May 2, 2011, I came home to find River laying by the side of
the road, all broken up. She had been hit by a car/truck,
and was just laying there. She suffered a severe break to
her rear leg, broken ribs, and a head injury. My dear
friend, Kim, offered to care for her at her place where she has a
much smaller herd. River underwent months - literally months
- of intensive care treatment and physical therapy. Her leg
is now fully healed, although a little ugly. And, her head
injury seems to have healed itself as well (but really - how do
you tell??<gg>). River still is, and will remain, an
extremely valuable brood doe - especially now that we longer have
her beautiful dam.

Heatherwood Tickle My Temper
Dam: Heatherwood Don't Tempt Me
Sire: Irish Whisper LOP Barbaro
D.O.B. / /2010
Tickle has freshened beautifully, and is quite the producer!
At a little over a week fresh, she's milking 8+ lbs./day.
Right now her biggest problem is that she's milking off any weight
she gains. So, Tickle was *finally* (and it wasn't easy)
dried up this past October, and she's already putting on weight
and growing nicely. I just can't wait to see her as a second
freshener! I just adore this girl.

Show Record: GCH x 1 (leg received - Jr.); RGCH x
2; 1st x 6
Paloma is another very typical kid sired by No Pure
Thoughts. She's solid cream, long and smooth, with an outstanding
escutcheon. Her drawback is that her pasterns are on the longish side.
They seem strong, and we bolus all our goats with Bo-Se regularly. She
too, is just a sweetheart. She's probably got the most bone out of all
No Pure Thoughts kids, and she is being retained. Paloma freshened
light on one side of her udder, but even so, it's just a beautiful udder.
As a first freshening doe, she never placed lower than 1st in limited
showing. She followed up with a beautiful second-freshening udder, and
again has never placed lower than 1st!

Although Soleil
isn't a purebred LaMancha, I consider her to be an exceptionally valuable member
of the herd. She's just a beauty to see, being very correct and
exceptionally stylish. She excels in dairy character as well, and has a
nicely attached udder. Soleil always has beautiful kids that sell quickly,
and she milks nearly a gallon a day for an extended lactation. She more
than earns her keep!! Oh, and she's a complete sweetheart - and smart
too!! Yes, I'm biased...<g>
